What can we do to make life easier for you?
Chalets, Cottages, Estates
You picked your preference now pick your Patrol Package
Marshall Patrol Services provides flexibility in its patrol packages since every family and their properties are different. We patrol most of our properties once or twice a week as per insurance requirements (when a property is sitting unoccupied). While on your grounds we patrol inside and out to ensure the house looks lived in. As part of our routine patrols, we remove junk mail from in and around the door and I will bring in garbage cans or recycling bins from the road, as nothing makes a house look unchecked like garbage cans empty at the road for days. I take these steps at no extra charge as they provide the illusion you are there, which is as important as secure locks and an alarm system.
With Patrol flexibility means you choose if you want simply the exterior checked or if you would like us to enter and make sure all is well. While inside we check for temperature, water leaks, sump pumps, rampaging rodents, water taps left on, running toilets, fridge/freezer functioning, alarms on water softener/purifying equipment etc. Accidents happen and it's always nice when they get caught before they turn into a mess. With entering your property we can now act as a key holder. Should you need to allow entrance for trades into your home we are available to save you a trip up. The same can occur for alarm response should the need ever occur.
The first step in getting a patrol is deciding what will work best for you. We have customers who are at twice a week frequency through the summer with no checks through the winter and vice versa. We will work with you to set up a patrol you are most comfortable with. Please contact us through the link at the bottom of the page for information on price rates with your ideal patrol frequency.
Business Patrols
Marshall Patrol Services specializes in custom property patrols. Established in 1992 our patrol route covers the chalets of the ski hills, estates of Beaver Valley and waterfront properties from Leith to the Town of The Blue Mountains. Our extensive training/experience in residential security & law enforcement coupled with our history in commercial Loss Prevention has made us the perfect match for this niche in the service industry sector. We are now expanding and offering a commercial package where we randomly patrol local businesses between the hours of 23:00 to 05:00. While at our customers business, we observe the parking lots, check all exterior doors are secure and record plates of any suspicious vehicles. With a strong history in commercial loss prevention we appreciate the lengths thieves will go to acquire your property. With over 130 properties being checked monthly we may not have seen everything, yet we have the experience to deal effectively with the unexpected.
With both a marked and unmarked patrol vehicle we can be both highly visible and discreet from day to day. Both vehicles offer their own definite advantages. As a patrol we observe and notify the proper authority should we see thefts and break-ins occurring. Vehicles and descriptions will be recorded and followed until the Police arrive. Should you be concerned about theft occurring over a short period from an outside display, or sales setup we are also available for extending evening watch.
With this being a new program I am open to suggestions from my customers as to frequency of the patrols they need. As I know cost is always a factor in the bottom line of every business I would suggest a patrol one or two nights per week. I have decals available for exterior windows and doors that state the property is patrolled. Should a business want greater signage, it is also available at extra cost.
Boats and Trailers
While our constant random patrols discourage thieves, our service is much bigger than that. We provide piece of mind in knowing that their property isn't being destroyed by the elements through insecurities and flooding.
Now, I am lucky my boat is on a trailer. I know it is safe at home and in my back yard. However, through the summer when it's alone in the harbour I worry about her all the time. Especially, whenever there has been a forcible wind and or downpour. Let alone worrying about who is down at the harbour when I am not.
I am sure there are lots of trailer owners who feel the same way. Some live too far away to pop down. Some might just not have the time. I feel I can help you, thereby increasing your enjoyment. I patrol and check my customers boats and trailers twice a week and after any concerning weather. By having a professional, visible presence of a security patrol and decaled vehicles, it is beneficial to all owners. Throughout winter harbour storage, patrols would assist in locating insecure vessels, loose tarps, ropes, and therefore minimizing damage that could be done over the time between your visits. When it comes to trailers if left in the park I am no stranger to snow showing. If I'm really good this year I hope to get a snowmobile for Christmas. With the theft of dingys and motors that occurred last year you should also read about the Marshall Branding Program. It has been designed to help keep your possessions where they belong.
Marshall Branding
I am constantly looking for new ways to provide my customers with the utmost in security of both their property and their possessions. While random patrols of property so far has had incredible success. There will at some point be a break in at one of the properties that I am checking. So I set to work thinking what else can I do to prevent this. What can I do to help keep your possessions in your possession?
I want to expand on a tremendous program that is offered by the Ontario Provincial Police "Cottage Watch". Be it a Chalet, Cottage or Country Estate it makes no difference, the Police want everyone to pay close attention to what is going on at their neighbors property and many do. However; in this area everyone comes up, and returns south, on approximately the same schedule (this of course is where the random patrols come in handy). I feel this new program will strengthen a home and make them a very unlikely target for thieves. These are the steps that I will take to ensure your belongings stay where you put them. We also provide a service where I record all of the valuables at the property by serial & model number. Most people know they have a LCD TV etc. yet they have know idea what model or serial numbers belong to them. I follow the same standards as are encouraged through the O.P.P. cottage watch program. However; instead of engraving property or using a permanent marker to "brand" each item of interest I use invisible ink which leaves no visible marking unless viewed under black light. In the case of a theft this will make it much easier to get property back to you, should it be located. Property can also be photographed for ease of identification.
Step One
All windows and sliding doors blocked from sliding with measured wood pieces. That are easily removable from the inside incase of emergency.
Step Two
Valuables marked with drivers licence number using our invisible ink. The location of the marking for each item is included in file. While as you may have guessed, this ink is impossible to see yet it is permanent in nature. It can only be detected using black lights. This product can be used on Stereos, Canoes, Skis, Snowblowers, Riding mowers, Snowmobiles, Liquor bottles, you name it we can put your mark on it. Permanently.
Step Three
Valuables, serial numbers and models recorded and attached to drivers licence file.
Step Four
All enticing property photographed and saved on computer under drivers licence number in case needed.
Step Five
Tasteful Window decals stating that you are part of the Program. I.e. All Valuables Marked Start Up
The number correlates directly back to you since it is your one and only drivers licence. At which point the officers can call you directly then contact me for serial numbers and other information regarding your property including the pictures.
